Learning to fly is a wonderful experience. Leonardo da Vinci best put it when he said, "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."
Ever since man first saw birds take flight, they have longed for the sky. Today, modern technology makes flying safe, convenient and enjoyable. Don't be fooled though, the process of earning a pilot's certificate is one that requires dedication and determination. It will take study, a willingness to experience new things and take on new knowledge, not to mention a hefty chunk of change. Regardless of the hardships, the end result is definitely worth it. I have heard time and time again that piloting your own aircraft is like no other experience on or above the earth. As a pilot myself, I can say that there are very few emotional moments that match the first time that you take to the air on your own, flying alone and completely in control.
This section is meant to be a resource for those people who are looking at starting flight instruction or currently completing flight training, mainly towards a private or recreational certificate. For people that are working towards a career in aviation, there are two additional sections of this website devoted to professional pilots and finding a career in this industry.
